Daiquiri Review Series | Daiquiris 2 Go on Southwest Freeway

The brightly colored walls, the board games, and the music, constantly streaming from the Bose speaker, all make Daiquiris 2 Go one of my favorite spots to hang out. I first visited this location about a year ago and was impressed by how welcoming the environment was.

Now, art hangs from the walls as well as shirts for sale. Daiquiris 2 Go, located at 7330 Southwest Fwy, is a bit of a drive for me. But when I have time, it's definitely worth stopping by.

The daily specials at Daiquiris 2 Go

With ample seating, multiple board games (like chess, Scrabble, Jumbo Jenga, and Domino), music, food, and daily specials, Daiquiris 2 Go is a really great place to sit with friends and enjoy a daiquiri.

They were a little busy when I arrived around 4:30 p.m. I patiently waited until most of the other patrons had ordered their drinks before asking to sample the most popular beverages on the menu. The friendly gentlemen at the counter poured me samples of the Damn Gina, made with strawberry, margarita, and Piña colada; the Triple X, made with Octane, Long Island, and hurricane; and the Sunday Funday, made with hurricane and Octane.

They were all pretty strong, but I like the Sunday Funday the most because of it’s simple yet delicious taste. Their other popular drinks include the Cardi B, made with Long Island and margarita; the Swamp Water, with hurricane and apple sour; and the Pink Panties, made with strawberry and Piña colada. Overall, the shop offers nearly 40 flavors and about a dozen food menu items.

In the end, I ordered two Cajun tacos, which were fucking delicious, and a regular-sized Tsunami Mami made with Octane, margarita, pina, and peach. For a more comprehensive review, check out my report card.
